The Date is set.

So after many different dates I am 98.9% sure I have figured out what day I want to get married on December 31, 2012 (if the world last that long... :-)) Yes, News Year Eve. I didn't like my birthday, the month of October was out of the picture, November didn't seem fun and that leave December (I'm excited) with all the Christmas parties thought it would be too much. Then I talked to my Sister today and she was like "What about New Years Eve, Out with old, In with the new." I thought about it and LOVED the idea!  So that is what I am going for. 

I have seen Crystal in person to ask if she wanted to be a Bride matron and of course she said yes!

Susan is up for the challenge of the flowers!

Skylar is going to be an awesome Jr. Bride!

Bella will be a beautiful Flower Girl!

Blue and Silver with accents of Yellow will be the colors!

Now, it's time to start looking into places that will let me have my wedding on New Years Eve. I'm sure it's going to be pricier but I will make it happen.

Engagment!

So, starting today I have decided that at the end of every day I am going to blog about what I am going to do with the wedding. I'll get to how it happened in moment. At the beginning of the year however, I am going to also blog about 365 days cooking with the crock pot. It is my favorite thing ever!  I just thought I'd let you know what's going on before I got into what happen.

Day 1

Friday was a typical Friday for me.  I got up made frosting and ganache and frosting for some wonderful cupcakes! An afternoon of pool was in order after that with the girls (Gotta LOVE pool days).  Came home finished upped the cupcakes and got ready for a night with friends.   John always calls me to let me know he’s on the way home and to just talk but today he was like “well traffic is horrible and I’m going to drive today.”   He gets home plays on the computer while I still getting ready and we are talking about what we want to go eat. Walking out the door he turns to me and goes…”I have a question.” Gets down on one knee and proposes!  My brain shut off and I’m pretty sure I said “No, no, no…” See I’ve been trying to figure it out for about umm… 3 months now when he would propose. I had NO idea that it would be that day.  Anyway, I said yes, called a lot of people, went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill and went and celebrated our friend’s birthday.

Day 2

We went Whiteville, TN to see Aunt Sara, Cousin Bill and Carmon (see this worked out because I said a long time ago that when he asked me we would have to go see Aunt Jimmie and Uncle Joe’s to show it off).
